Atelier Areia respects your privacy and ensures that the personal information you give us remains confidential. This privacy statement tells you what data we collect when you use our services and/or products, why we collect this data and what we do with it. We also tell you what your rights are, who has access to your data and how long we keep your data. Processing purposes and retention period

Atelier Areia collects and processes your data for the purposes listed below. We use both data that you communicate to us and data that we collect ourselves (e.g. about your visit to our website). We keep personal data for the time necessary to achieve the purpose, or for the time required by law (e.g. keeping accounting documents).

Fulfilling your order

To fulfil your order, we need your name, e-mail address, address, delivery address, payment details and sometimes your phone number and/or date of birth. This allows us to deliver your order and keep you informed of its progress. The law requires us to keep details of your order for 7 years.

Legal grounds for processing

Atelier Areia processes personal data on the following legal grounds:

- consent (e.g. sending newsletters and invitations; collecting sensitive data)

- necessary for the performance of an agreement (e.g. executing your order)

- necessary to comply with a legal obligation

- necessary to pursue our legitimate interest in doing business

Where the processing of personal data is done on the legal basis of consent, you always have the right to withdraw the consent given again for the future.

Transfer to third parties

Atelier Areia does not sell your personal data to third parties. However, we do share your data internally with our employees (whether employed or self-employed). Furthermore, we only share your data with third parties for:

- processing your order

- providing the website environment

- providing the IT infrastructure

- providing (and distributing) newsletters and invitations

Our employees and the third parties we engage are obliged to respect the confidentiality of your data. We guarantee that they have taken the necessary security measures to this end.

Transfer of Personal Data outside the EEA

Some of our suppliers are located outside the European Economic Area. We only share your Personal Data with third parties outside the EEA if they have signed a processor agreement and ensure an adequate level of protection, in particular:

  • Prior to the start of the transfer, a standard data protection agreement following the model established by the European Commission was signed between Atelier Areia and the supplier.

Thanks to cookies, we recognise your device the next time you visit, so you do not have to enter or download the same information every time. Cookies also give us insight into how you use our website and how we can make our services more user-friendly.

Your rights regarding your personal data

You have the right to inspect the personal data we hold on you and you can have them corrected if they are incorrect or incomplete. You can also have your personal data deleted, have their processing restricted and object to the processing of (part of) your personal data by us or one of our processors.

You also have the right to request a copy (in a structured, common and machine-readable form) of your personal data and to have the personal data transferred to another party.

You have the right to object, free of charge, to any processing of your personal data for direct marketing.

To exercise the above rights, it is sufficient to:

- change the settings of your account yourself; and/or

To prevent misuse, we ask you to enclose a copy of your identity card (possibly with invisible passport photo).
